After I painted the Rhino as one endangered species, I decided to paint the Tiger, apparently their habitat is in decline.
This is acrylic on canvas 3 x 4 feet, the size and colors make it eye catching. my attempted expressionist style, had a lot of fun painting this without a pallet and mixed my colors on the canvas. I found acrylics dry to fast on a pallet.

Portrait of a lady, depending on ones definition, that’s no lady and that’s not my wife?
Practice makes perfect and in order to improve my portrait work I need to paint more portraits…I prefer only ones which catch a mood and as most of my work I paint for the challenge of it.
Bear Creek
This was my first acrylic work and it was not my last, but I find acrylics annoying because they dry so darn fast and seem to scratch on the canvas compared to oils which flow. This is from a photograph I took which was a practice in capturing moving water and using acrylics.

Okay, just finished this Friday… I know it is not great and is not my favorite choice of colors, we had where working together and had a limited pallet to choose from, even so it was a hoot to make and I learned much.

Okay…I had used this painting as my header for a very short time, but I wanted to have a more generic abstract which is what you see for the time being as my blog header.
When I saw this as a colored photo in a local newspaper, which was covering the topic about the demise of newspapers. I suppose, my experience delivering newspapers for 4 years as a youngster caught my eye and I fell in love with the contrasting colors. I member when I was younger I used to paint houses inside and out…I painted myself into a corner once, for some strange reason… I member quite clearly… all of a sudden I had to go Pee!
I went to the local community church here in Hoot Owl … I think they called them selves Methodologists, guess that’s Christian? All I member is doing a lot of standing up and sitting down and singing off key…they evidently passed around a salad bowl full of money, I felt guilty but thought it was like my grandmas candy bowl, so I took some and then I don’t member much… except I ended up outside? So I have had some sperence with those Christians folks you talk about, but I don think I want to go back.
Now…my Grandma would slap my hand when she said I took more than my allowance of candy… but grandma never threw me outside?
Those Methodologists seemed kinda strange to me?
